Client Brief

The client a vibrant couple who moved into a villa in Jumeirah Park, envisioned a space that felt open, luxurious, and highly personalized. Though the villa layout was the same as Sejal’s own home, their lifestyle, aesthetic choices, and spatial needs offered a completely different direction. The brief was centered around blending their existing collectibles, artwork, and furniture into a harmonious new design while also expanding and personalizing the kitchen for a hands-on, passionate cook who wanted a chef-style experience at home. 

SCOPE OF SPACE

The villa featured pre-existing extensions by the previous owner, including a modified layout that opened possibilities for redesign. Key spaces included a spacious living room, open dining area, custom kitchen, and lake-facing backyard. The project included landscape enhancements, outdoor furniture integration, and complete interior renovation for major functional areas.

THEME & DESIGN ASPECTS

Milestone created a warm, open-concept modern home with matte Calcutta gold flooring and a neutral palette to emphasize space and flow. Design elements included invisible kitchen appliances, customized storage, and integrated bar functionality without obvious display. The home balances contemporary elegance with practical design that reflects the couple’s lifestyle.

DESIGN CHALLENGES

Key challenges included opening up window spaces to maximize lake and skyline views while navigating strict Nakheel regulations. Budget constraints required creative material sourcing and smart design decisions. A major design goal was integrating functionality and glamour within limited square footage while maintaining seamless transitions across zones.

OUTDOOR DESIGN

The outdoor space was landscaped with lush greens, softscape textures, and the arrival of a mature olive tree that thrilled the clients. Designed to feel like a resort, the garden includes sitting nooks, layered lighting, and soft transitions to the indoors.
