Client Brief

The clients moved into an inherited Meadows villa that required a significant transformation to match their lifestyle and aesthetic sensibilities. Our client, an artist, envisioned a serene yet expressive home, while her husband, a former Ranji Trophy cricketer and avid golfer, wanted cozy spaces for relaxation and sports entertainment. The goal was to reflect their personalities in both interior and landscape design, with a modern, functional, and artistic upgrade. 

SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of work included a complete upgrade of the villa’s outdoor space—including pool, pergola, and plant palette—and major interior renovations of all bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, and living areas. Milestone also tackled lighting, carpentry, custom shelving, and the bar area to create an elegant, cohesive living experience.

THEME & DESIGN ASPECTS

A modern, minimalist aesthetic was introduced outdoors, with neutral hardscaping and vibrant blue pool water acting as visual anchors. Indoors, neutral tones, mosaic accents, custom shelving, and curated art enhanced warmth and personality. The new pergola seamlessly extended from the living and dining areas, becoming an inviting outdoor room. Porcelain tiles, wood finishes, and ambient lighting helped tie the overall design together.

DESIGN CHALLENGES

Being an older Meadows villa, the property had outdated finishes and limited ceiling lighting options. Milestone overcame these constraints by installing gypsum bulkheads and dimmable spotlights to create modern ambiance. Integrating custom features like Dipali’s art and Jignesh’s trophies without overwhelming the space required thoughtful curation.

• Pergola redesign elevated to 30cm, serving as an open-air extension of the house
• Outdoor bar clad in porcelain, paired with warm wood flooring and soft lighting
• Fully remodeled kitchen with new island, granite counters, and blue-grey mosaic backsplash
• Upgraded powder rooms and bathrooms with neutral porcelain tiles
• Custom TV niche and shelving to house Jignesh’s sports memorabilia
• Artistic integration of the client’s own paintings as room focal points
• Smart lighting plan using concealed and reflected ceiling lights throughout.

OUTDOOR DESIGN

The landscape features a minimalist layout with a clean, neutral hardscape and repeated plantings to highlight the vibrant pool. The new pergola is both functional and architectural, hosting a spacious lounge and bar area that connects directly to the indoors. Subtle lighting adds ambiance for evening entertainment, while practical finishes ensure long-term usability and low maintenance.
