Shape Spaces with Purpose,
Precision, and Passion.

I was raised in a home where beauty wasn’t just seen; it was felt. My mother, a fine artist, taught me the value of a second look—how pausing, to truly observe, reveals deeper meaning and hidden layers. My father, an entrepreneur, musician, and sitarist, showed me what it means to pursue excellence—with rhythm, discipline, and grace.

Some of my earliest memories are of art: colours blending on paper, the gentle sound of the sitar playing at home, and my mother encouraging me to create with whatever was around us. She was more than an art teacher; she brought creativity into our daily lives, turning ordinary afternoons into lessons in beauty, detail, and form.

By the time I was five, I was experimenting with colours, learning to shape clay, and discovering how textures could tell a story. On weekends, we visited galleries, Jehangir, Taj, and the Nehru Centre, where we’d pause in front of each painting, observing strokes, tones, and mood. My mother taught me to look closer, to feel what couldn’t be said in words.

We didn’t just view art; we studied it. I began to understand rhythm through classical music performances, emotion through dance, and the power of space through the way a canvas was framed, or a stage was lit. That early exposure shaped how I see the world. It taught me that beauty lives in the details – and that good design is never just decoration but a reflection of feeling, culture, and care.

The Champion Within

Before I ever picked up a pencil to design spaces, I held a table tennis racket. My days started at 5:30 AM and ended late, structured around practice, tournaments, studies, and discipline. For 17 years, I lived and breathed the game. I represented India on international courts, won 138 medals, and received the Chatrapati Shivaji Award before I turned 30. But it wasn’t just the sport that shaped me – it was the way I was taught to play.

My father was more than a coach; he was my strategist. After every match, we’d sit down and review everything-my rhythm, decisions, and presence. He taught me to analyse patterns, spot weaknesses, and transform setbacks into strategy. I learned to think fast, move with intention, and stay calm under pressure.

That same mindset now shapes my design work.

Every project begins with a blend of structure and soul. I ask: is this design a Perfect 10? Does it feel personal, purposeful, and complete? That’s the bar I set, not for admiration, but for resonance. By 30, I’d travelled to over 200 cities, staying in everything from rail dormitories to five-star hotels. I absorbed the calm of Scandinavian interiors, the detail of Thai architecture, and the ease of Italian villas. I learned that timeless design isn’t about style; it’s about how it makes you feel.

What I bring to every space is the discipline of an athlete, the sensitivity of a global observer, and the mindset of a lifelong learner. My pursuit of excellence didn’t end with medals. It evolved into something quieter, creating spaces that feel like home, yet elevate life in the most unexpected ways.

Where It All Began

After stepping away from the table tennis court, I didn’t slow down; I simply changed arenas. While caring for my newborn, I returned to the creative roots planted in my childhood. What began as heartfelt house gifts, floral lamps, and handcrafted pieces quickly blossomed into Pure Joy—my first design venture.

Alongside my career in sports, I had also pursued my passion for nature and aesthetics, becoming a certified Master Teacher in the Ohara School of Ikebana. I studied Ikebana and Bonsai for over three decades, and that deep training continues to shape how I design landscapes today—from plant selection to placement, from longevity to aesthetic rhythm. I see gardens and green spaces as living compositions—planned not just for today, but for how they’ll grow, settle, and inspire over time.

With Pure Joy, I poured myself into building a catalogue of over 250 bespoke products—each one a fusion of form, function, and feeling. Before long, we were stocked in Mumbai’s finest lifestyle stores, collaborating with personalities and evolving from handmade gifts to full lifestyle design. Pure Joy was never just a business. It was a turning point: the moment I realized design could be more than beautiful. It could be a way of life.

Milestone Dubai: Built from the Ground Up

When I moved to Dubai in 2003, I started from scratch: knocking on hotel doors with nothing but a portfolio, a strong vision, and a quiet determination to build something meaningful. That vision became Milestone Dubai, a full-service design studio that now brings together 80 skilled professionals and a body of work spanning 1,000+ completed projects.

We’ve grown, but the heart remains the same.

Every wall we build, every interior we style, and every garden we plant is guided by a commitment to precision, personalization, and emotional resonance. Over the years, I’ve launched multiple ventures, from Pure Joy to Walls & More to our in-house joinery and custom furniture division, allowing us to deliver thoughtful, end-to-end solutions under one roof.

Milestone isn’t just a company. It’s a legacy in progress, rooted in purpose, built with care, and designed to last. .

My Design Philosophy

Great design isn’t about what you see first. It’s about what you feel, quietly and completely. I’ve carried the mindset of the “Perfect 10” from my sports career into my design practice: every space must feel complete, intentional, and deeply personal. When form and feeling align, the result is timeless. .

CreativE VISION

Every project begins with you. Your rhythm, your rituals, your story. I listen closely and design with a fresh perspective, blending artistry and innovation to create something both original and emotionally grounded.

SoulFUL CONNECTION

I don’t just decorate. I design spaces that hold meaning. Every texture, colour, and detail are chosen to evoke a feeling, spark a memory, or support your day-to-day life. That emotional layer is what turns a house into a sanctuary.

EFFORTLESS FUNCTION

True beauty is more than what you see. Your space needs to support and enhance your lifestyle. My approach combines thoughtful planning, custom elements, and layered simplicity to ensure every space is as functional as it is beautiful.

QUIET Luxury

Luxury, to me, is subtle. It’s the softness of a fabric, the calm of a well-lit room, and the quiet richness of natural materials. It’s not about opulence; it’s about presence, poise, and design that endures.

A space feels complete not when it looks perfect, but when it reflects your rhythm, rituals, and sense of belonging. That’s when design becomes truly personal, and timeless.
